Controversial Pictures

The photographs displayed below were provided to Maurice Darbyshire by Mamee Groves and were represented as being associated with a visit to Hamlet Golf & Country Club on or about June 28, 2023, while I was serving as General Manager.

After obtaining the original image files, I reviewed the embedded metadata associated with those photographs. The metadata reflects a creation date of February 1, 2022. I did not return to employment with the company until August 2022.

Because the photographs were allegedly associated with events occurring in June 2023, the metadata raises questions regarding when the photographs were actually taken and how they came to be associated with the events described.

The original photographs were provided in Apple's HEIC format. Unfortunately, the website platform used for this site does not support displaying or distributing the original HEIC files in a practical manner. In order to display the images for public review, the files have been converted into a more widely supported format.

As a result of that conversion process, the embedded metadata associated with the original HEIC files may not be preserved in the versions displayed on this website.

For that reason, the original HEIC files have been retained. The metadata referenced above has previously been provided to relevant parties and can be independently verified from the original files. Anyone wishing to review the original images and associated metadata may request them directly.
